Copper RX-78-2 Head by Chartodileon Copper RX-78-2 Head by Chartodileon
Made with sheet copper and brass in jewelry class :D I used Turbolabo's RX-78-2's papercraft design to make this. The process is pretty similar, only it took years to complete each step xD The paper version can be seen here: [link]

I bet if you made the whole copper body, everyone would want it more than just the head, especially if it were in the display case!

I'm impressed! How did you get all the pieces to stay together? Did you use a soldering iron/torch? :3

Yep! The glue was solder.. And it was a pain! The thing fell apart so many times before I managed to get everything together. :faint:

Oh yeah, that's always really annoying, when stuff falls apart as soon as you take your hands off it... ;3; I haven't done any metalworking before, but one summer I made a small stained-glass window and the soldering part was SO FRUSTRATING lol. The window ended up turning out okay, but the solder was kinda lumpy and gross "OTL

I... I can't remember either! :rofl: I think it might've taken place either on one of your papercrafts or one of our profile pages... ;;;

[link] I FOUND IT-- (and I spent all of five minutes searching for it... I feel like such a weirdo =A=;;; ) LMAO but if you want we can talk about something else here too or combine it into one GIANT conversation (oh jeez the textwalls hahahh ;;; ) or converse by notes so that they don't get lost (as easily) LOL. \o/

Some of the finer details like the vents on the face and the holes on the sides are missing :P
